About LRN Foundation
Our vision is to promote education , research and empowerment of women.
This embodies the values of Lalita and Ravindra Nath.
LRN Foundation Guidelines
- Members of the board are direct descendants of Lalita and Ravindra Nath.
- All decisions are made by unanimous votes. Thus each member has veto power.
- The Foundation needs a centralized theme. Current focus has been on education , research and empowerment of women. This may be fitting with the lifelong personal and professional commitment made by Lalita and Ravindra Nath towards these values. They placed very high importance and value on these aspects in all walks of life. The name of the foundation “LRN Foundation” also exemplifies that theme, for “LRN” is pronounced as “Learn”.
- The Foundation should try to support gaps in the educational system, recognize talent, provide opportunities to the brightest and most deserving students.
- Since the funds that were used to establish the Foundation represent the lifelong earnings and assets of Lalita and Ravindra Nath, the funds should remain in India and should be used for the betterment of residents living in that country.
- Thought needs to be given on how to expand activities of the Foundation that would allow it to raise funds to expand its scope and reach.
- Over time it is conceivable that the Foundation might explore the possibility of opening branches in other countries, but the home base should remain in India and the central theme should remain the same.
